Why the Grimlock ending isn't really an ending

So, I’ve been bad about updating the blog. It’s summer in Michigan, so when I haven’t been working I’ve been swimming. Sorry.
Anyway, I’ve received a lot of messages about the end of the Aisling Grimlock series, which is set to occur in October 2018. That means you have three books left in the series. People are upset, and I get that, but this first series was always meant to be a set story. I can’t give you too many details, because it would ruin the arc, but it’s not really an ending. Yes, it’s an ending to the Aisling Grimlock books, but it’s not an ending to the characters.
Next year I’m launching two new series. The first happens early in January. I’m not ready to give you the details on that yet either, but suffice it to say it’s another series that will allow for a lot of crossovers. Unlike Charlie Rhodes, though, the series won’t open with a crossover. In the third book, though, there will be a few Grimlock characters crossing over. No, I can’t tell you who, how or why. Again, that would ruin things. The series is set up in such a way (and you’ll understand when you read the new book) that almost all my paranormal characters can make a visit.
The second series will launch the same month the final Aisling Grimlock book launches (about two weeks later). So, your withdrawal won’t last all that long. It’s set in the same world, although it has a different setting. It’s a new environment, one of the Grimlock brothers (nope, won’t tell you which one) will be a main player, and the rest of the Grimlocks will be around as supporting characters. The main character in that series will be a new female, though.
Now, the new location is different and I don’t want to describe it yet. It’s close enough to Grimlock Manor that the characters can stop by for dinner, other Grimlocks (and Jerry) can visit the new location, and it manages to be different without losing the characters you love. Aisling will not be the lead but she’ll be around for all kinds of hijinks and fun.
So, I will be giving you more information on the new series featuring the Grimlocks, but it won’t be until much closer to the launch (so we’re talking about a year). It’s already being outlined and worked on, though, so it’s set.
So, that’s it. Just thought I would give an update to cut down on the panicking messages. Yes, the first arc is ending but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other arcs.
Thanks for reading and go ahead and theorize in the comments section about what I’m going to do. Be forewarned, I’m not going to confirm or deny anything. Have at it, though.

Happy to know that we'll still see into the Grimlock world. I do so love all of your characters.

This has to be one of my favorite series ever. I read non stop.Oh please, please do not let this series come to an end, I loved this series, and I was telling someone about it last night at dinner. I have tried other Grim books - nothing compares to yours. I so loved the characters - the interaction between them. Truly a wonderful series, I devoured them.

I happen to love all your series but Aisling cracks me up, I laugh like a lunatic when I read all that she gets into. I do look forward to the new series though and can not even guess what's going on in the new series, but do we get closure with Aislings mom or does mommy dearest have some play in the new series?

Please don't end the Grim series, if you must, cut down on the books. Maybe just one every 6 months or so. All the characters interact so perfectly. Aisling is such a great character and such a smart mouth, (or smart a**) but I laugh out loud while reading. I love her character and coming from a large family (7 kids) I can totally see the love between all the fighting (arguing) and the closeness of family. (After all we can fight each other about it, but you had better stay out or you will have all of us to fight.) No other series, even a spin off, will be the same, we love the entire family including Jerry and of course all the "better halfs". Most people here really love them so please take a few minutes and think about it. Thanks so much for all the great times we've experienced reading them and looking forward to the next one!

I can understand how you feel, but as much as I don't want any of Amanda's series to end, ultimately they're her stories to tell. If Aisling's tale is coming to a close I'm okay with that. But that doesn't mean down the line Aisling won't speak up to her and demand a new story ;-)

I've had other authors "end" a series only to revisit in the future because the characters just wouldn't shut up. LOL.

I am sure that my fellow readers just laughed because they can relate so much on your story. Of course, it is an honor to finish reading Grimlock! Actually, both of us have the same opinion, but at least you finish reading the story! But doing it seems tiring because it's given that you need to allot time and attention to this activity because if you will not, you will fail to get the gist of the story. Most of the time, it feels tiring. But if you have set your goals already and think that you need to finish it, no matter how hard it will be, you will always find time to do it!

Ok, this is sort of off topic, but not really. Several of your main female characters have slight issues with "bed head" hair. When I came across this article, your name popped into my head. It kind of sounds like something that could happen to any of them, particularly Poet.

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstances. I give God all the glory for bringing Lord Zakuza into my life for helping me get my wife back that got me divorced for one year. I was the last person on earth to accept the fact that spells exist or work not until I was referred to Lord Zakuza online to who has helped so many people with his powerful spells. I had no other option than to give it a try because 3 months after the divorce, I was demoted at my place of work due to depression for I don't know what to do to get her back but thank God today for using Lord Zakuza to get my happiness and love life back within 48 hours. Just last week here, I was promoted back to my position and I'm here to share my own experience with this man called Lord Zakuza. I don't know what you are going through today but know that in all situation there's always a way out. Lord Zakuza also prepares spells like Lottery spell, job spell, spell to stop a divorce, spell cure for any diseases, protection spell, spell to become successful and wealthy E.T.C. i love all your series especially aisling. maybe its a guy thing but the only thing i dislike about your books is that the boyfriends are so...clingy! we have women who can totally kick butt yet when they get in any danger no matter how minor, (aisling just sees a wraith) and mr. boyfriend just loses his mind and raves and rants about how she keeps putting herself in danger. i love the aisling and angelina snark off fights.

When I was a kid, I was torn between whether or not I was going to grow up and be the Incredible Hulk or Wonder Woman. I flirted with being a Jedi Knight for awhile, but I wasn't up for the intense travel associated with the gig. In my teens, I settled on being a writer -- although I had no idea the effort that would entail.
Not only am I a writer now, but I'm a writer in several different mediums. I'm a longtime newspaper reporter, an avid reader and a voracious science fiction fanatic.
